Set up right the first time.
The decisions you make in week one shape everything after: how protected your assets are, how much tax you pay, how easily you can bring in partners or investors. Here is what we believe a new business deserves from its accountant.
The right structure
Sole trader, company, trust or a combination - designed for your risk, income and plans, with asset protection and tax efficiency built in from day one.
Every registration
ABN, GST, PAYG withholding, business names and licences - registered correctly and on time, so the ATO never becomes a surprise.
Xero from day one
A clean file, connected bank feeds and simple invoicing before your first sale, so the books never fall behind.
Paying yourself properly
Wages, drawings, dividends or distributions - what fits your structure, and how to do it without a tax mess later.
A number you can call
New businesses generate questions weekly. Unlimited access to your advisor means you ask early, before small things grow teeth.
The full LINK group
Finance for equipment or premises, insurance introductions, bookkeeping, marketing - the whole group is behind your launch.

Frequently asked questions.
Sole trader, company or trust - which structure should I choose?
It depends on your risk, income, partners and plans - and it is much cheaper to get right at the start than to restructure later. We walk you through the trade-offs of each in plain English before anything is registered.
What registrations does a new business need?
At minimum an ABN, usually GST (required once turnover passes the threshold), PAYG withholding if you employ, and industry licences where they apply. We handle the lot as part of setup.
What is the Ignition session?
A focused workshop that covers everything a new business needs in one sitting: structure, registrations, insurances, paying yourself, ATO obligations and more. See the Ignition page for inclusions and pricing.
When should I talk to an accountant - before or after registering?
Before, every time. Most expensive startup mistakes (wrong structure, missed registrations, no shareholder agreement) happen in week one and take years to unwind.
Thinking about starting a business? Talk to us first.
One conversation before you register anything can save years of unwinding. Book your Ignition session.
