Privacy statement.

The policy that covers us

LINK Advisors is one of the divisions of LINK, and how we collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information is governed by the LINK Privacy Policy. It is written to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, it names Link Advisors Pty Ltd (ABN 60 614 982 464) as one of the entities responsible under that Act, and it covers what we collect, why, who we disclose it to, where it is stored including overseas, how long we keep it, and how to access or correct it.

What runs on this website

The group policy says what runs on each site differs and changes as the sites are rebuilt. Here is the answer for linkadvisors.com.au.

The calculators work in your browser. The fee estimator, the business health check and the trust-versus-company calculator all run on your own device. What you put into them is not sent to us and not stored anywhere — close the tab and it is gone. The only time anything reaches us is when you deliberately fill in your details and press send, and then we receive what is in the form and nothing else.

Analytics and advertising. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people read and where they leave, a Google Ads tag that tells us which advertising led to an enquiry, and a Meta pixel that does the same for Facebook and Instagram and lets us show ads to people who have visited the site. We also use Vercel's analytics, which does not use cookies at all. Between them these record the pages you view, roughly where you are, what device you are on and how you arrived. None of it is joined up with your client file, and we do not sell it.

Cookies. This site sets no cookies of its own — it has no login, no basket and no preferences to remember. The cookies you will find here are the advertising and analytics ones set by Google and Meta, described above. You can clear or block them in your browser at any time and the site will work exactly as it did before. To opt out at the source, Google offers a browser add-on for Analytics and ad controls in My Ad Center, and Meta has its own ad preferences settings.

As your registered tax agent

Client work is also governed by our engagement terms and the Tax Agent Services Act, which sit alongside the privacy policy rather than inside it. Complaints about our conduct as a registered tax agent are handled separately, by the Tax Practitioners Board — our important information for clients page explains that process and carries our registered agent number.

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, contact the Privacy Officer above. If you are not satisfied with the response, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
