Business advisory services Brisbane.
Running a business is a series of decisions. Our advisors make sure you take them with clear numbers, a real strategy and someone experienced in your corner - as a fixed-price project when you have one question that matters, or as a standing rhythm when you want the thinking all year.

Six ways advisory moves the needle.
Performance reporting
Regular, plain-English reports built on Xero and delivered through Fathom. KPIs that show strengths, weak spots and what to do about them - not just columns of numbers.
Strategic forecasting
Forecasts that go beyond a budget: how income and expenses flow through to your bank balance, assets and cashflow over time, so big decisions are made with confidence.
Business structuring
The right structure protects assets, supports growth and keeps tax efficient. We design structures that fit where the business is going, not just where it is.
Accountability & goals
Targets set together, tracked quarterly. Owners with a scoreboard and someone checking in consistently outperform owners going it alone.
Tech advisory
The right app stack for your industry - Xero add-ons, job costing, inventory and payments - implemented with best practice, not left half set up.
Profit workshops
Focused sessions that find margin: pricing, cost structure, product mix and the handful of levers that actually change your bottom line.
Buy it as a project, not a subscription.
Not every question needs an ongoing relationship. Most of the time there is one decision in front of you - what to charge, whether the structure still fits, whether the numbers support the hire - and what you want is that decision answered properly and then to get on with it. So we sell it that way: a fixed price, a deposit, a scope, and an end date. You keep the work whether or not you ever engage us for anything else.
Profit and pricing review
$2,500 - $6,000 +GST
Where the margin actually is, product by product or job by job, and what changing your prices would do to it. The single highest-return piece of work on this list for most businesses.
Forecast and cashflow model build
$3,000 - $7,500 +GST
A three-way forecast built on your real numbers, with the levers exposed so you can test a hire, a purchase or a bad quarter before you commit to it. Yours to keep and run.
Structure review and recommendation
$3,000 - $8,000 +GST
Whether the entity you are in still fits the profit you make, what moving would cost and what it would save. See business restructuring for the detail.
Board or strategy day
$2,000 - $4,000 +GST
A full day on the business rather than in it, prepared for properly beforehand, with decisions and owners written down at the end rather than a document nobody opens.
Systems and app stack review
$1,500 - $4,000 +GST
What your Xero and the apps around it should be doing and are not - job costing, inventory, payments, approvals - with an implementation order rather than a wish list.
Due diligence on a purchase
Quoted on scope
Buying a business, a book of clients or a competitor. What the numbers actually say, what the risks are, and what it changes about your own structure.
Indicative and ex-GST, scoped and fixed before anything starts. If you would rather have the thinking on a standing basis, advisory folds into your fixed monthly fee instead - but that is a choice, not the only door in.
A team unified to transform business.
Advisory at LINK is not a report emailed once a quarter. It is a standing relationship with an advisor who knows your industry, meets you regularly, and is one phone call away between meetings - with the whole LINK group behind them for finance, wealth and property when you need it.
When the decisions outgrow a quarterly rhythm, the same thinking is available monthly as a standing engagement: virtual CFO services put the reporting, the rolling forecast and the person across the table on a fixed monthly fee.
Frequently asked questions.
What's the difference between accounting and advisory?
Accounting records what happened; advisory changes what happens next. Advisory uses your numbers - reporting, forecasts, KPIs - to drive decisions on pricing, people, cashflow and growth.
What tools do you use for reporting and forecasting?
Xero as the financial foundation and Fathom for reporting and forecasting - simple, powerful reports you can actually read, and forecasts that show how decisions play out in your bank balance over time.
Is advisory only for bigger businesses?
No. The biggest gains often come early, when a structure change or pricing decision shapes everything after it. Advisory scales to your stage - from a quarterly session to a full board-style cadence.
How is advisory priced?
Two ways, and the first is the one most people want. A defined project - a profit review, a forecast build, a structure or pricing piece - is a fixed price agreed before we start, with a deposit, a scope and an end. You are not signing up to anything ongoing to buy one. If you want the thinking on a standing basis instead, advisory folds into your fixed monthly fee alongside your accounting. Plenty of clients do a project first and decide about the rhythm afterwards, which is the right way round.
Do I have to be an accounting client to buy advisory work?
No. Project work is sold on its own and you keep the output whether or not you ever engage us for anything else. We would rather do good work for someone who came for one piece of it than turn the conversation into a pitch for a monthly fee.
What's the difference between advisory and a virtual CFO?
Cadence and depth. Advisory is a project or a quarterly rhythm: a specific question answered properly, or a standing review that keeps the plan honest. A virtual CFO is a monthly standing engagement - management reporting, a rolling cash forecast and someone in the room for the expensive decisions as they happen. Most businesses want advisory. The ones with real complexity or real scale want a CFO, and we will tell you which one you are.
