Business Stimulus
Package Calculator
What is the stimulus?
The Boosting Cash Flow for Employers measure will provide up to $100,000 back to business (and not for profits), with a minimum payment of $20,000. The payment will be delivered by the ATO via the activity statement system and provide temporary cash flow support to small and medium businesses that employ staff. The payment will be tax free.
The payment is designed to help employers retain their staff and pay their fixed overheads (like rent). The boost is based on PAYG Withholding so that employers are incentivised to keep paying staff (and therefore withholding tax to minimise the stimulus).

What do you need to do?
No forms or applications are required. The cashflow assistance will be provided on lodgement of BASs over the coming months. If you do your own BAS, lodge it as soon as you can. If we lodge your BAS, then work with us to get it lodged for you ASAP.
We will be working with our clients to ensure they are aware of their eligibility. If you are reading this and you are not a Link client, feel free to reach out to us.
How does it work?
The cash back is based on 100% of your businesses PAYG Withholding.
It will be delivered over two payment periods as follows.
Tranches | Calculation Period | Calculation Method | Cashflow Benefit |
---|---|---|---|
Tranche 1 | 1 Jan, 2020 - 30 June, 2020 | 100% of PAYGW for the period | Capped at $50,000 for the period, with a minimum of $10,000 |

Timing of benefit
The boosting Cash Flow For Employers measure will be applied for a limited number of activity statement lodgements. The ATO will deliver the payment as a credit to the business upon lodgement of their activity statements. Where this places the business in a refund position, the ATO will deliver the refund within 14 days. Where you have an amount owing to the ATO, it will go towards reducing this amount.
